Burbage Elections, Thursday 1st May

If you are registered to vote, get ready to make your mark count in the County Council elections, on Thursday May 1. A by-election to appoint a new Parish Councillor for Stretton ward will also be held on the same day. Polling cards will be sent to all eligible electors, which will give all the information needed to ensure that everyone who is registered is ready to vote in either one or both of these polls, depending on where in the parish you live. Don't forget that to vote in person you must have photographic ID, such as a passport or driving licence. A list of acceptable forms of ID can be found online at electoral commission.org.uk/voterID or you can apply for a free voter ID document before 5pm on April 23.
