Anniversary bench to mark VE Day 80
In addition to recent community commemorations, the Parish Council is to install a permanent memorial to this year's 80th anniversaries of both VE Day and VJ (Victory over Japan) Day in the form of a specially-designed bench which will take pride of place in Pughe's Paddock, close to a lamp-post honouring the fallen from the First World War.

Overnight works on the M69 eastbound tonight (May 12) and tomorrow night
National Highways has issued notification of works to be carried out on the M69 eastbound at Junction 1 overnight tonight, May 12, and tomorrow night, between 8pm and 6am.
